Content Binge by Target Account
Individual page views are noise. Account-level patterns are not. Avina detects when contacts from a single company collectively consume 5 or more pieces of content — blog posts, whitepapers, resource pages — in the last 14 days, revealing research activity that no single visit would expose.
Why Account-Level Content Consumption Is a Buying Signal
Most buying research never touches a pricing page or a demo form. It happens quietly across a team: an engineer reads two technical posts, a manager downloads a comparison guide, a director skims three articles on the same topic over a weekend. Looked at one contact at a time, none of that clears the bar for a lead. Rolled up to the account, it is an evaluation in progress. The pattern matters more than the volume. Five pieces of content read by five different people at the same company in two weeks means the topic is circulating internally — someone shared a link, someone else forwarded it, a conversation is happening that your rep is not part of. That is a materially different situation from one enthusiastic reader. For ABM and demand generation teams, this is the trigger that fires earliest. It surfaces accounts before they identify themselves through a form fill, which means outreach can shape the evaluation criteria rather than respond to them. It also tells you what the account cares about: the specific content consumed is a map of the questions they are trying to answer.
How Does Avina Detect Content Binges?
Avina tracks first-party website activity and resolves visitors to companies through IP-based account identification, form submissions, email click-throughs, and CRM matching. Page views across all identified contacts at the same account are aggregated into a single rolling 14-day view. The threshold is configurable, and Avina filters out activity that would otherwise inflate the count: repeat views of the same page, sessions from your own employees, bot traffic, and visits from existing customers browsing support content. Avina also weights content by depth — a whitepaper download and a long-dwell technical post count differently from a bounce off the homepage — and tags the topical cluster the account is reading, so reps know which problem is being researched.
What Happens When a Content Binge Signal Fires?
Avina scores the account using AI based on the number of distinct contacts involved, the depth and topical coherence of the content consumed, and firmographic fit against your ICP. Contacts identified during the binge are enriched with verified emails, phone numbers, LinkedIn profiles, and firmographics through waterfall enrichment. Reps receive a Slack alert listing which contacts read what, in what order, and over what period — enough to reconstruct how the interest spread inside the account. CRM records in Salesforce or HubSpot are updated with the full engagement timeline. Qualified accounts can be automatically enrolled into ABM nurture campaigns that continue the specific thread the account was already pulling on, rather than restarting the conversation from the top of the funnel.
